The Spring Retreat will be March 28, 29 and 30, 2014 at Paradise Park in the Santa Cruz Mountains of California.

Click the Spring Retreat link on the right for more information

The Spring Retreat begins on Friday with a pretty set of brocade & velvet "Slipper PinKeeps". Roses are made from silk/satin ribbon and trimmed with a rhinestone pin buckle. A French ruffle is pleated on a pleating machine. High heels are glass doorknobs {yes really :}.

Saturday and Sunday, March 29 and 30, 2014 we will devote ourselves to creating a "Metro Bag".

This jaunty handbag sports three pockets~one zippered, one with a lovely ribbon medallion and the third is a vintage glove. Learn the Victorian art of crazy quilting and ways to embellish seams and incorporate fabric photos in your work

NEW RETREAT~March 22, 23 & 24, 2013

Friday, March 22, 2013~Antique Glass Box

Join us in the Santa Cruz Mountains for a weekend of stitching and merriment!

 Inspired by antique boudoir boxes from the 1920's, this triangular box is constructed of panes of glass edged with silk/satin ribbon, then stitched together.  Sounds difficult, but it's easy and with dramatic effect.  Once assembled we will ruch ribbon for the trimming and replicate the vintage cabachon roses and baby's breath adorning the sample.  Adding a porcelain half doll is optional, but lovely.  Roxanne will have some available for purchase at the Retreat, or bring a special one from your collection :}
Cost for workshop:  $65, plus supplies
