A big thank you to the ladies at the November, 2014 Retreat.  You are so talented.  I loved your fabric choices, and more than anything you were inspiring and fun to be with.  Thanks!

Now on to the next Retreat May 1, 2, 3, 2015.  Saturday and Sunday is the Fan Etui shown open and closed.

Journey with us through the streets of Paris in 1920 where a seamstress carried her sewing tools pocketed in a beautiful fabric fan.  Our Etui is made of velvet and brocade and is embellished with a beaded motif.  Inside are the pockets for your scissors and other precious tools.  One pocket is made using a vintage glove.  We will pleat ruffles to trim the fan and add metallic trim, rhinestone necklace and pins as well as a tassel to create an heirloom.

Friday, May 1, 2015 will be a $25 workday (fun-day) at the Retreat location, Paradise Park in Santa Cruz, California.
It will afford you the opportunity to work on a project with Roxanne to answer any questions you might have.

The Spring Retreat begins on Friday with a pretty set of brocade & velvet "Slipper PinKeeps". Roses are made from silk/satin ribbon and trimmed with a rhinestone pin buckle. A French ruffle is pleated on a pleating machine. High heels are glass doorknobs {yes really :}.

Saturday and Sunday, March 29 and 30, 2014 we will devote ourselves to creating a "Metro Bag".

This jaunty handbag sports three pockets~one zippered, one with a lovely ribbon medallion and the third is a vintage glove. Learn the Victorian art of crazy quilting and ways to embellish seams and incorporate fabric photos in your work
