Spring, 2009 Ribbon Retreat was a lot of fun with wonderful people, delicious food, and much stitching and pleating. Thank you to everyone.

At the Retreat our days were filled with crazy quilting and pleating ribbons into flowers. Here are the pleated daffodil (a PINK daffodil) and fuschias atop a jar of vintage buttons. The fuschias have dancing stamen. Those hard-working hands are Patrice's. She scooched those ribbons into beautiful daffodils, pansies and these gorgeous fuschias...Thanks, Patrice! (We're already dreaming about the flowers we'll pleat at November's Retreat...

Sherri is working on her Vintage Rose Pincushion from Sunday's class. The velvet yo-yo pincushion is stuffed and sewn to crinoline. Then cupped petals are tucked slightly underneath to make the vintage rose.

Having fun at the Ribbon Retreat...
stitching away are Penny and Shelley.

quilted teacozy from Friday's class.
