FRENCH RETICULE~In Sunday's workshop we'll explore the Victorian art of crazy quilting, combining elegant fabrics and ribbons to make your Reticule~a 16th century French sewing bag. This four-sided handbag has pockets inside to hold your sewing treasures and a drawstring closure. We'll begin the morning painting on silk fabric to use when you crazy quilt the front panel. You will learn how to surround a vintage fabric photo with pleated wire-edge ribbon, and embellish it with silk ribbon embroidery. Embroider a lovely fan with metallic embroidery floss.
